Three people were injured following a crash Saturday in Milford, fire officials say.

It happened just after 6 p.m. near 684 Boston Post Rd.

First responders found two people in critical condition and trapped in a vehicle. They were both removed and taken to Bridgeport Hospital with life-threatening injuries.

A third person in the other vehicle was also taken to a local hospital with minor injuries, according to authorities.

People were asked to avoid the area while police investigated the crash.

It's not clear what caused the crash.
