Another day of mild sunshine wrap up these last few days of April!
Today may be the pick of the week! Tuesdays highs will range from the lower 70s along the Sound Shore to nearly 80 degrees inland. The winds will kick in for the afternoon, with gusts up to 20-30 mph at times.
Those dry, gusty winds coupled with the low humidity and dry brush means there is an elevated risk for fires to spread. Exercise caution outdoors with potential ignition sources like machinery, cigarettes and matches.
The tree pollen levels continue to climb, and they are miserable or extremely high. Maple and Oak pollen are at severe levels with Birch at a moderate level. With the dry gusty winds today, the pollen will be blowing around. Seasonal allergy sufferers may want to stay indoors with the air conditioning.
Temperatures this whole week will be on the warmer side. There may be a couple of "cooler" days with highs in the 60s. Very little rain too - there is a better chance of showers and even a few thunderstorms starting Friday. The weekend may also feature some rain, but also sunny weather too.
