Milford police say a two-day standoff that started as a wellness check for a man on Pullman Drive in Milford has been resolved peacefully.
Police say that when they initially arrived at the man's door on Monday, he threatened the officers.
One neighbor says officers told them that the man had multiple guns.
Police told News 12 they didn't think anyone else was inside the house besides that man, so they didn't need to go inside. They did say they still wanted to talk to him to make sure he was OK.
At around 6 p.m., and after about 36 hours, police say the man surrendered himself without incident and he was taken into custody.
The Milford Police Detective Bureau secured a search warrant for the premise for weapons. Officials say a preliminary search of the home revealed some weapons and a possible grenade.
