Tweed New Haven Airport has submitted an environmental mitigation plan as part of its efforts to expand.
The plan includes lengthening the existing runway by nearly 1,000 feet and building an 80,000 square foot east terminal building with six gates.
The project also features a 4,000-space parking lot accessible from Proto Drive.
The plans are now under review by the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection.
